不过随着科技日新月异的发展与创新，传统的金融货币也被颠覆了，什么大数据、区块链科技、虚拟货币/加密电子货币等等。
马中基金会属下的金融与科技研究局就是为了加强金融与科技的发展与创新，同时配合一带一路的倡议，协助沿路区域国家的基础设施与经贸的合作与发展。

Due to ancient days, the trading method is by barter trade whereby the system of exchange where goods or services are directly exchanged for other goods or services without using a medium of currency , such as money. Down the road of the years, villagers started to trade by using seashells or metal minerals as a currency. Many centuries has passed where trading has been greatly used, paper note such as currency has been invented to add value in it.
Due to advance technology, paper currency will be replaced by new technology such as Big Delta, Block Chain Technology, Electronic Currency, Crypto Currency, etc. This shows that traditional finance industry will be overturn by the new technology. Therefore, Malaysia-China Economy Development Foundation are here to set up Bureau of Finance & Technology Research in order to further improve finance and technology development which will help in “The Belt and Road Initiative” development strategy.
The Belt and Road Initiative is to help to establish the countries along the belt with the business infrastructure and stabilize their trade and finance. This development strategy will help to expand and strengthen Malaysia and China’s finance and technology with better communication and cooperation between the both countries
